Above are a few photos of the Horseman modified for 2008.
A longer cape replaces the short one in last years initial version.
A new removable base cover made of weed block paper, Spanish moss and leaves spray glued in place gives his black plywood stand a more finished look.
This prop is on my list of all time favorites. Probably in the top five. Looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely be interested to know how tall he is, and even a how-to. He looks amazing, very real!
ReplyDeleteI have to say this is my favorite prop I have ever seen.

ReplyDeleteI remember seeing a blog about you making this. I cant seem to find it. is there a link? Also where did you get that chest plate?
ReplyDeleteWill you sell me the new (2008) modified costume? I will pay any price and i need it for halloween. Thanks! You can reach me at nathan_bellew@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteAny price? Really?
ReplyDeleteThanks but it's not for sale.
It's a keeper for me...
But ask me again in about 10 years when college tuition comes up.
Alright but where did you get that chest plate from?
ReplyDeleteChest Plate is thick leather purchased from Tandy Leather Company. Its cut & shaped to form. The whole piece is then given a weathered, rotted look by smearing a sticky spray foam substance on it.
ReplyDeleteI painted the dual dragons free hand for the most part.
Oh my god, that pictures are freaking awesome!! :)
ReplyDeleteTHAT...IS...EPIC!!!
